The sequel to the highly praised and intricately plotted Nearly Gone--a YA urban mystery that's perfect for fans of Bones, Numbers, and The Body Finder

When Nearly Boswell starts working as an intern at a crime lab, she's hoping it will give her an advantage when it comes to college applications. But on her first day, a girl from her trailer park turns up dead. Then the corpse of a missing person is discovered, buried on a golf course, with a message for Nearly etched into the bones. When Nearly finds out the corpse is the father of Eric, a classmate of hers, she starts to worry that the body is connected to her father's disappearance five years ago. Nearly, Reece, and Nearly's classmates--Vince, Jeremy, and Eric--start a dangerous investigation into their fathers' pasts that threatens Nearly's fragile romance with Reece, and puts all them in the killer's path.

Sometimes you crave a good thriller, and Cosimano will always deliver. The cool thing about Nearly Found is that it does not have to be read after reading its predecessor Nearly Gone. It's the same cast of characters in a new, unique setting. While this book may contain some slight spoilers for book one, no reading order is entirely necessary.
This book starts off a few months after the ending of book one with our favorite awesomely named heroine, Nearly, starting off her senior year. She wants to get an internship in a forensics lab (which sounds super cool to me). I love interning, so this part of the book was super awesome to me, even if slightly unrealistic. All of this is going down while her fellow classmates continue to treat her like a bit of a pariah and her friends continue to be not so great friends and ignore her entirely. Shame on them!

When a dead body is found with a message for Nearly on it, her somewhat normal life gets turned upside down once again. People that are known to associated with her like Vince and Jeremy get super creepy notes, and her lab partner Eric even gets one on her behalf. Finally, Nearly receives one herself and we are launched into a super creepy new mystery that will leave goose bumps on your skin. A killer is leaving her cryptic notes and bringing her friends into danger, and Nearly has to solve this mystery before it is too late.

As for what that mystery is this time around, I can't tell you. It's definitely wonderful discovering it for yourself, but I can say it is super twisted and incredibly complex. When looking at this tangled web in retrospect, my mind is a little bit blown at the tale Cosimano managed to weave.

There was also a huge reveal at the end of the book that completely blew my mind. Like whoa! Cosimano knows how to keep readers on their toes and begging for more. I don't know if there will be more left in this series since this is technically a companion to book one, but I can honestly say I am on board for a book three! And I am sure anyone who picks up this book will be, too!
